Justin Tawil

Justin Tawil is Managing Director, Investment Risk, with firm‑wide responsibility for investment risk oversight across Public Markets and Private Markets. He operates independently within the Global Investment Office (GIO), partnering closely with investment teams and senior leadership to support disciplined risk‑taking and promote consistency, rigour and transparency in investment risk management practices across the firm. 

Justin is a voting member of the Corporate, Real Estate and Infrastructure Debt Investment Committees and serves as Chair of the Private Markets Valuation Committee. He joined Fiera Capital in 2019 as Vice President, Risk Management and Compliance within Fiera Private Debt, where he established and led the Risk Management function with a focus on embedding a strong, enterprise‑wide risk culture that is both strategic and execution‑oriented. He brings more than 18 years of experience in investment risk management, primarily within major Canadian financial institutions. 

Justin holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from HEC Montréal, an Executive MBA from UQAM’s School of Management, and an Executive MBA from Université Paris Dauphine‑PSL.
